Well, what an honor to be asked to speak tonight. And uh if you're like, oh shoot, he's speaking, you can still get out now. But I see who you are. And I will find you. No, just kidding. And do an altar call at your cabin. No, just kidding. Uh, what an honor to be here. And uh again, how many have not heard me in the morning and are like, who is this guy speaking? Is there anybody here? I see those show of hands. There's only a few. Okay. Uh, my name is Travis, and I lead a ministry called Resurgence Initiatives. And uh I was trained as an engineer and uh felt God's voice in my 20s, left that, God interrupted my plans, and I went into full-time ministry. And um, you know, I learned this that Jesus often sees what we cannot. And he saw a future and a plan and a and a vision for my life that I didn't fully see. And I'm still walking that out. And uh our mission at Resurgence is to reach people, revive churches, and release leaders. And we have four five main values that's to be wholehearted, spirit-led, fruitful, relational, and kingdom-minded. And I just believe as a ministry, but also as a leader, as a follower of Jesus, that's essential if I want to be a spirit-empowered leader. And so we have uh a few things that we've created, like an assessment that, hey, how am I doing in that regard? Just a free thing, a free tool. Uh, I've talked about that each morning. And then uh another thing I wanted to turn your attention to is uh I talked about this this morning, but we have some books for sale and some merch. It all goes to support our ministry and everything God is doing in us, and also some impact reports. Some people said, Hey, what's going on? Tell us about your ministry. Uh, there's information at the back, and love to love to share more on uh what it's all about and how you can be involved. And so I wanted to share that. And my wife had written a book on mom, why do I have to brush my teeth? God gave her this uh vision, so I know there were some senior citizens saying, Well, I need that book too. So um it's at the back and it's just an incredible resource. But um, if you have your Bibles tonight, would you turn with me to Mark chapter four? Mark chapter four. And starting at verse thirty five. That day when evening came, he said to his disciples, Let us go over to the other side. Leaving the crowd behind, they took him along just as he was in the boat. There were also other boats with him. A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. But Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said, Teacher, don't you care if we drown? He got up, he rebuked the wind, and he said to the waves, Quiet, be still. Then the wind died down, and it was completely calm. He said to his disciples, Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith? They were terrified and asked each other, Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him. You know, as I read that story, and you growing up in church probably have heard that story and this passage a lot. But as I read that story, there's a phrase that sticks out to me. It's the phrase, let us go over to the other side. And if you're here this morning, I finish my message saying, Hey, where is your other side? Where is maybe it's the other side of Starbucks, maybe it's the other side of your neighborhood, maybe it's the other side, where do we need to reach people? And I left us with that thought, but I want to continue it on tonight. And I believe I want to share this thought. Jesus sees the other side. You know, when I was about 11 years old, my dad, my older brother, and I would go camping, and my dad had an F-250 camper special, and he put a camper on top of that thing. It was an orange Ford 1977 camper special. It had style. And uh on top of that camper that he built, we had a 12-foot aluminum boat, and it had a four-horsepower motor, a Johnson on the back. And if you want to know how fast that is, does anyone have a KitchenAid blender at home? That's probably faster than this boat. It's no Mastercraft. I mean, it's no Malibu. The wake was a mouse couldn't even wake surf on this thing. And you're just putting along. And I remember we went to Beaver Lake, we went fishing, we were fishing all day, we caught nothing. So finally we went to the fishing store, and I was sharing this even the other day, and I went to the fishing store, and you know, they say, Oh, you gotta go to the other side of the lake. That's a long way in a little boat. But if you buy this hook and buy this bait, you're gonna catch big fish. So we're like, okay, fine, we're in. So we like turn that boat on, going across an hour to get across to the other side. Meanwhile, a storm comes in, we start catching fish. I'm talking, he was right. I couldn't believe it. We're catching fish, the big boats are zooming by because a storm is coming. And here's what I know. I don't know a lot about what to do in a storm, but here's what I do know: don't be in a lightning storm in the middle of a lake on a 12-foot aluminum boat. So we're like, we gotta get back. So we're going back, we're not gonna make it. The storm is like cracking, you could see it hitting trees, like it was close, and so we're like, this is not good. So then what do you do? So we went under a tree because we're like, we don't want to be in the middle of the lake. And that day we actually ran out of gas after the storm leaved, and it was it was a bad day, you know. Or we got back, but we had fish. And here's what I discovered doing that, and eventually, you know, I discovered this. Um, sometimes all that stood between frustration and breakthrough was crossing to the other side. And as I study this passage, the disciples saw a storm, but Jesus saw the other side. The disciples saw waves, but Jesus saw a man. The disciples saw fear, but Jesus saw freedom for somebody on the other side. The disciples thought the story was actually about surviving the storm, but they it wasn't really about that. Jesus knew the story about the someone waiting on the other side on the other shore. Listen, I've heard this preached many times, and I think I personally have preached on it, and I've missed sharing the purpose of the journey. We talk about the storm and the storms of life, and I'm gonna talk about that. But where were they going? They were going to the other side. See, my first point tonight is Jesus sees what we cannot. You know, everything begins with Jesus. The vision wasn't the disciple's idea, the strategy wasn't the disciples' idea, the destination wasn't their idea. See, Jesus saw someone they couldn't see. Jesus saw a place they had never been to, Jesus saw a future they couldn't comprehend. And he simply said, let's just go to the other side. See, the other side wasn't just another shoreline, it was decapolis, it was ten Gentile cities, it was the enemy's territory, it was it was what you know. Think about what that meant for a Jewish disciple. They're Gentiles, they have tombs, they have pigs, and they have demons. Everything that they've spent their lives avoiding. And Jesus is like, let's go over there. No, Jesus, we don't go there. We've never dreamed about going there. We don't go there, we stay away from there. Nobody dreams about going there, nobody has a tropical destination in Decopolis. We go to Hawaii, Jesus. We don't go to Decopolis, but Jesus was already moving toward it. Why? Because Jesus is always moving toward people. Jesus is always moving towards the lost people, the forgotten people, the people that nobody sees and nobody wants to go be with. Can I ask you a question tonight? How often do we ask Jesus to bless our plans instead of asking Jesus where you are going, Jesus? What are you doing, Jesus? What can what do we need to get behind what you're already doing? Because discipleship is inviting Jesus into our plans, it's actually following him into his, isn't it? It's following Jesus, what he's already doing. See, everything begins with Jesus. I recently heard this author, Alan Hirsch, and he said this. What does a mature follower of Jesus look like? A person with a lot of Jesus in them. What is a mature follower church that follows Jesus look like? A church with a lot of Jesus. What is an immature follower of Jesus look like? A person with not a lot of Jesus in them. We need to be people that are mature. I love that because this is his church. This is his mission. This is his kingdom. We said this morning that the mission of God has a church. We're all part of that. And if Jesus sees something we don't, we can trust him. Because faith isn't seeing the other side, faith is trusting the one who already knows what's on the other side. And his name is Jesus. You know, my second point tonight is don't let the storm become your story. Don't let the storm become your story. The very next thing that happens after Jesus gives the promise, let's go to the other side, there's a storm. Have you ever noticed that? Jesus gives a promise, a dream, a plan, then comes a storm. Jesus gives a vision, then comes a storm. Jesus gives a destination, and then there's a setback, there's a storm. See, the storm wasn't the story. The storm wasn't the destination. The storm wasn't the assignment. The storm was actually standing in the way between what the disciples were trying to do and where they were trying to go. And Jesus remained focused on the man the whole time. The disciples saw the obstacle and Jesus saw the opportunity on the other shore. The disciples are like, we're in danger, Jesus. And Jesus is sleeping on a cushion. Can I suggest something tonight that sometimes a resistance you experience isn't because you've missed God's will. Sometimes a resistance that you're experiencing is because you're walking right in the middle of God's will and you're on the right path. See, the enemy wasn't afraid of the 12 disciples floating in a boat. The enemy was afraid of what would happen when they reached the other side. See, the enemy isn't afraid of you just going through life, but the enemy's afraid of the vision and the plan and the purposes that God has put in you, the goal that He's put in you, and He's placed that in you, and you're going to fulfill it. And on the way to fulfill it, there's storms and there's setbacks. Why? Because the enemy doesn't want you to fulfill the plan and the purposes of God on your life. And we talk, I'm not one to talk about the devil, but here's the reality: we struggle not against flesh and blood. That there are things that are happening that you can go, oh, it's a natural thing. It's not always a natural thing. And let's not be naive to think it's always natural things. See, every believer faces storms, every family will face storms, every church faces storms, sometimes there are storms of disappointment, sometimes there are storms of criticism, sometimes there are stores of grief and uncertainty. But the greatest danger, I don't think, is a storm itself. I believe it's allowing the storm to become your story. It's allowing the storm to become your identity. See, because storms can make us cynical, they can make us fearful, they can make us doubt, they can make us stop trusting, stop dreaming, stop pioneering again. Because we've gone through some stuff. Storms and storms can actually define us, can't they? Of what happened to us instead of what Jesus has spoken over us. You know, in the church, sometimes, and and Pastor Tim said this the other night, we can get distracted by a lot of good things, politics, all these things. But we can miss the main point, Jesus. Can I tell you? Jesus changes everything. We need to stick to preaching Jesus. We need to go after Jesus with everything. Let's not get distracted. Let's not get distracted with all these good things and miss the gospel. Tonight, if you're facing a storm, can I tell you you're in the right place tonight? Jesus sees you and is in your boat. See, church hurt, and I shared this on Tuesday, is one of the greatest examples. All week people have stopped me and said, Travis, thanks for talking about church hurt. I've been through some things, I've I've had some hurt, there's been some people that have let me down. And I've watched people who genuinely love Jesus got disappointed by other believers. And the hurt became their identity. The offense became the lens which I saw everything through. They even picked up, and then there's time where we pick up secondary offense. It didn't even happen to us. It happened to our friend, and we're like, did you see what happened to that person? I can't believe that. And you know what? I've met more people that have secondary offense that's even worse than the actual offense. That's not how we should act. There's healing for secondary offense, there's healing for offense. Let's not stop at the storm. You know, we've seen things happen, but let's not get cynical. Let's stay hungry for Jesus. If we're not careful, we're gonna build a house in the middle of the storm. We're gonna unpack our bags, we're gonna hang some pictures and say this is who we are. We're hurt people in the middle of the storm. But can I tell you that's not what Jesus has called us to? He's not called us to be people sitting in a storm, building our lives on the hurt and pain that we've experienced. He said, Listen, we're going to the other side. Jesus sees the other side and he calls us to go over. See, hurt isn't your story or your identity. Offense isn't your story or your identity. And healing is deciding I'm getting back into the boat and I'm going to the other side. Can I flip the script for a moment? Most of us read this passage as a story about surviving storms. But it's not that, it's bigger than that. This isn't a storm story. This storm was just simply standing between Jesus and someone he loved. And the disciples thought it was all about getting through a storm. While the disciples were panicking, Jesus was sleeping. Why? Because he had perfect peace. He knew what was going to happen before it happened, and he already had spoken. Let us go over to the other side. See, the promise was already in the boat. The word was already spoken. That the destination already had been established. The disciples woke Jesus. He stood, he spoke, he calmed the waves, the winds obeyed, and everything was good. Because every storm must bow to the word of God. See, the answer wasn't found in a storm. The answer was found in the word of God. And the word of God was sleeping in a boat. Listen, if you're in a storm today, can I tell you the solution to every storm is to awaken the word of God in your life? To awaken the word of God in your life, to get into this book and start to awaken it in your life. See what it says about the circumstance, see what it says about the situation, see what it says about the sickness, and start declaring the word of God. Because the word of God is what we need when we go through a storm. The answer is found. When insecurity comes, awaken the word. When fear comes, awaken the word. When disappointment comes, awaken the word. Amen. And what was the word? Survive the storm? No, it wasn't that. Try your best. No, it wasn't that. It was let us go over to the other side. We're going to the other side. See, church, notice something. Jesus didn't negotiate with the storm. He didn't manage the storm. He didn't survive the storm. He exercised authority over the storm. Why? Because when the kingdom of God confronts chaos, everything will bow. Because there's an anointing, there is the presence of God that changes things. The wind obeyed, the waves obeyed, creation obeyed. And can I tell you tonight that same still same Jesus is still alive and he's in this place tonight? And I believe that if you have a storm tonight, God wants to speak over that storm tonight. He wants to silence that storm in your mind. Some have have thoughts and self-talk and doubts and fears and sickness. And we know that tonight, God just, by the power of God, wants to silence that storm. I believe that tonight. Point number three is Jesus sees people where we see problems. Jesus sees people where we see problems. They get through the storm. They get to the other side. It's a peaceful shore. Oh, the disciples are like, we're here, finally. Not so fast. In Mark chapter 5, they arrive in Decopolis, and immediately, demon-possessed guy comes to greet them. He's not the guy you want in the foyer at Hope City or South Side. This is not the guy that is like the greeting on the greeter team. And he shows up. He had more than a few critters in him. He lived in tombs. There was evil spirits working in him. And he shows up. And chains could not hold this guy back. No one was strong enough. He cut himself on stones. He was tormented. And the guy sees Jesus and falls on his knees. And Jesus says, Come out of this, come out of this man, you evil spirit. He knew who Jesus was, and Jesus asked him his name, and he says, Legion, we are many. And Jesus cast the demons into the pigs. 2,000 pigs go running off the cliff and and the bacon prices skyrocket. And it's a crisis. It's a pandemic. There is a crisis, and they say, Jesus, we don't like you anymore. Why are you here? Please leave this area. People are upset. They can't have bacon anymore. Why? And they see demon guys guy dressed now as normal, right-minded guy, and they don't know what's going on. And just think of this: if you're the disciple, we just got through a storm, we get here. Jesus, this is a massive failure of mission. Think if you like got up at one of our churches and said, Hey, I'm going to Decapolis. Will you support our missions trip? And now you have to send a report back to Pastor Phil, Pastor Kevin. Hey guys, um, so we got kicked out. We got there, and one day we are turning around and we're coming home. Sorry. We couldn't really use the money you gave us. It went all that way, and it's a failure. I bet one disciple's like, I told you so, Jesus. I guarantee you. And as he's going, demon-possessed guy, now free guy, is like, I'm coming with you. And Jesus is like, No, you're not. Go tell everybody what happened to you. Go tell your family and tell them how much the Lord has done for you and how he's had mercy on you. He went away and he started to tell everybody in that area. The Bible says this man was isolated, tormented, lived among tombs. Society had given up on him, but Jesus had not. And when the disciples saw the capitalists, they saw a difficult region, but Jesus saw a person. Jesus saw revival. Jesus saw something that could happen in that region that no one else saw. One man, one testimony, one act of obedience, it didn't look like much. Number of years ago, I had the incredible privilege sent by 100 Huntley Street, myself and another guy to a First Nations community north of Winnipeg called Cross Lake, Manitoba. In Cross Lake, there was about 8,000 people living there, about 5,000 people under the age of 25. Over 200 grade 10 students attempted suicide in a two-week period. The RCMP told us we had to bust them out because we didn't know what to do. They heard a dark voice in the middle of night tell them to kill themselves. And so Hunter Huntley had sent us to go and just kind of walk and see what is happening and assess the situation from a Christian point of view. And so we contacted a few churches that were in that area. We went. Those churches were not reaching a young generation. The average age in those churches is about 65. Yet young kids are walking the streets. And as I walked, I saw burnt-out buses. I said to one kid, I said, Oh man, there's garbage and there's buses burnt out everywhere. And he goes, Zombie apocalypse. I'm like, wow, okay. And it just was hopeless. It seemed like there's no hope. We met the chief, we met the band elders, and they welcomed us and they said, Hey, will you want to come to a community barbecue? And I said, That'd be great. Well, come, there's 3,000 people coming to our community barbecue free food. We're opening a brand new gaming center. It'll take a million dollars a month out of the reserve in our new gaming center. And so we went to the gaming center ribbon cutting ceremony. And as I stood there, my heart was grieved for a lost generation. I just remember thinking, God, I can't reach everybody. I don't know what I can do. Yes, we can assess it, but I want to do something now. And I saw this kid over by a car. He had a hat on. I just went over to him and said, Hey, I'm Travis, and we're we're pastors and my friend Stephen. And could could we pray for you? He goes, actually, yeah. And again, I have no idea who this kid is. He goes, I went to the nurse's station and I have a mass in my stomach, and there's nothing they can do, and I'm being sent to Winnipeg. So, yeah, you can pray for me. Do you think Jesus could heal me? I said, He can heal you. I believe that. And so he took his hat off, very reverent. I just laid my hand because I can I put my hand on you. And I mean, I prayed for healing, but I prayed everything I ever learned at Bible school. I mean, it was like a 10-minute prayer. The guy was probably like, What is going on? Who is this guy? I just pray, God protect him. We break every, you know, just went for it. He goes, Oh, thanks, mister. And I said, Hey, tonight we got use of a church building, and we're just gonna invite all the youth in the area to come out. Do you think you could get some friends? He goes, Yeah, 26 of us hang out every night. I will talk to the leader guy that hangs out and we'll come. We normally go to a bridge and walk on a bridge, but we'll come. So I was like, Great, 7 o'clock, see you there. 7 o'clock rolls around, we're there. We got somebody on our team that can do worship. And so they're like, we got a guitar, we're there, we get there. There's two people there. And there's four with the worship in me. I was like, there's more in the ministry team than the people. 7:30, 8 o'clock, 8:30. It's almost 9 o'clock. There's no Tyrone, his name was. He didn't come. Finally, someone texted him and got a hold of him and said, Oh, we're on a bridge, but we're coming. We did worship. We did testimony and testimony and worship. And then I was going to share, but who am I going to share to? It's two people. So about to share, and the back door opens, and 26 youth come streaming in. And um, they came on two pickup trucks. And I said, You're in the right time. I'm gonna speak. I'm gonna preach right now. And they said, Oh, actually, we can't stay. It's too cold. We gotta, the guy's like, I gotta get them something to eat. And out of my mouth said, Well, it's your lucky day. The ministry I lead resurgence is buying you pizza. Just came out of my mouth. I didn't even know. There's no way you can even get pizza there. Somebody had to go put delicios in an oven somewhere. $105 a pizza was ordered. I said, Great, order the pizza, we'll pay for it. All good. So they sat down at the back. Nobody was listening, everybody's on the phone. Kids are going out to smoke every two minutes. It's chaos. And I'm supposed to speak. So I start sharing, and all of a sudden I'm like, God, what do I do? And in a little whisper came into my heart, said, Invite my Holy Spirit into a room. I said, Holy Spirit, we invite you into the room. And I just said, Is there anyone here that wants to encounter God and experience the Holy Spirit? They don't know what that is. They don't, they're not church, nothing. And I said, if you do, just put your hands out in front of you. God is real and you can experience Him. Every kid put his hand up like this. Phones are down, hands out, and you could hear a pin drop in the room. And in the moment, Holy Spirit says preach. And I just preached the word, the quickest message, but I got right to the cross, right to salvation. And over 20 kids put their hand up for the very first time to accept Jesus into their life. And we're we're just praying for them. And I said, you know, I found a way to pray for every kid in that place. I'm like, if you didn't put your hand up, let's pray for you. You know, if you need healing, I mean, we just found a way. How can we just pray for you? We just want to pray God's blessing over you and protection, all of it. And as this is happening, the pizza's arrived, and I get a nudge, you got to come to the boot room. I'm here. This is revival. No, no, you gotta come. So I come out to the boot room, and in the corner is a kid keeled over in the corner. So a couple of us stand there, and this kid is hearing dark voices that are telling him to do awful things, to kill himself. And I said, Hey man, can you look at me? Can I see your eyes? And he looks up. It's my friend Tyrone. Said, Tyrone, how's your stomach? We prayed for you. He said, I went to the nurse's station and she couldn't feel the mass anymore. And I told her Jesus healed me, and she said, That's not possible. But she says, I can't feel anything anymore. And she doesn't understand what happened, but it's not there anymore. I got healed today. But she says, I came, I came tonight and I'm hearing voices and I don't know what to do. And so I just prayed and I just said, I feel like God's saying, like, who's your dad? And he's like, Why would you ask me that? I just said, I felt I felt like God's saying to ask you. He goes, I've never said my dad's name since I was three. He tried to kill me, and I've never forgiven him, and I've never uttered his name. And I said, I think Jesus wants you to forgive, you need to forgive your dad. And I explained it and he says, I will never do that. I said, Well, let's just ask Jesus what he says. So I said, repeat after me, Jesus, what do you say? He goes, Jesus, what do you say? Like this is just raw. And he says, Jesus said he loves me. Okay. Say it again. Okay, Jesus, what do you say? Jesus said he loves you. I'm like, okay. Jesus said he's proud of you for coming here. Like, okay, I received that. What else does Jesus say? Jesus says that he can help me forgive my dad, and I don't have to do it alone. I said, okay. So what do you think we do next? I think I need to forgive my dad. So in that boot room, he said, Terry, I forgive you. And he started listing everything Terry had done to him. And in that moment, I watched freedom come into that boy. I watched the presence of God come. You know, in that in that moment he looked up. He said, I'm seeing it like an angel. And again, he's a seeing, I've never seen an angel. He's having this encounter with the Lord. I pray that the Holy Spirit fills him. He starts speaking in tongues right in that room, gets totally set free. We go in and join the rest and they're celebrating. Listen, Jesus sees what's on the other side. We went there praying for a community, but Jesus sent us there for one person. His name was Tyrone. See, in the kingdom of God, never underestimate what God can do through one surrendered life. Point number four tonight is Jesus sees the harvest. Can I show you something that completely changed how I read this story? Most of us stop reading at Mark 5. We think the story is about this one man being delivered in Decapolis. He gets set free. Good news. But it doesn't end there. Mark, the writer, keeps writing. In Mark chapter 7, Jesus actually goes back to Decapolis. This time everything has changed. People aren't begging him to leave. The sick are being brought to him. Why? Because one man testified what Jesus did in his life. See, they're welcoming him, they're expecting him. In Mark 8, thousands gather around Jesus. 4,000 people have followed him into this desolate place. They're so hungry to be with them that they've stayed for days and they have to feed them there. Jesus sees revival happen, really. Jesus stands there and thousands are fed. And think about that moment. The same region that rejected Jesus is the same region where he saw some of the biggest crowds. The disciples saw a broken man. Jesus saw the harvest. Jesus saw a harvest. Jesus saw a movement. The disciples just saw one life and Jesus saw a movement. Jesus saw generations. Isn't that amazing? Here's what amazes me. Jesus didn't just cross the lake of Galilee for one man, he crossed it for an entire region, for a generation to be transformed. That man went home. He told his family and his friends. He told the cities and the capitalist and everything changed in that region. And when Jesus returned, the ground was already for Jesus to come back. Sometimes in a church, I think we've created a false choice. We celebrate the one or we celebrate the big revival meeting. We celebrate the individual or we celebrate the big church. We celebrate the personal thing or we celebrate the big movement that's happening. But can I tell you, Jesus never made a choice between them? Both are essential and both are very important. It is the one and it is the everyone. It is the one person that we reach every day. It's the small little church that no one sees. It's the tiny works in the rural communities. I just shout out to Mayor Thorpe. I shout out to the small communities. Listen, don't you, what you're doing is vital. Don't give up. It's about all boats rising. It's about Jesus moving in all the places. We celebrate the big, we celebrate the small. One isn't better than the other. It's what God has called and what God is doing on the earth right now. We need both. And both are vital. The big can't look to the small, and the small can't look at the big and go, why aren't I there? We both need to be doing all that God's called us to be, because all boats rise. Amen? And we we don't make a choice. Jesus never made a choice. He leaves the 99 for the one, but he also fed the 4,000. He ministers to one broken man, but he prepares that man to reach the entire region. Both are essential and both are celebrated. Why? Because Jesus knew the one was never the end of the story. The one was actually the beginning of the greater harvest. Every revival starts with one life transformed. Every move of God starts with one life, one prayer, one act of obedience, one person at a time. Every family changes, one heart at a time. Every crowd is made up of one by one. Every number that we talk about has a name. Sometimes people are like, well, how many souls did you win? And I don't like that because I don't want to devoid it's just a it's just a number. Every single person that comes to Jesus is a person, a whole person that God died for and set free. We are all very valuable and very important. It's not just a number, it's a person with a family and a story. And this man in Decapolis got touched and it impacted the entire region. See, big isn't the goal, people are the goal. Church, who knows what hangs on your obedience? What if the person you're praying for isn't the end of the story? What if it's just their beginning? What if what if one child in kids' church tonight becomes the missionary that starts a movement in another country? We never know the impact. I shared this morning about my friend and how his great-grandparents started Hope Mission in Emmetton. We never know the impact of one life, one conversation at work that can change generations forever. Never underestimate your testimony. Listen, you may say, I don't have a story, I don't have a testimony, I didn't do drugs, you weren't with prostitutes. Like, what kind of story do you have? Listen, every story matters. And your story matters. You don't have to feel like you don't have a great story. Listen, every testimony is just as important. Tell your story because it changes lives. See, Jesus sees beyond the storm and sees the harvest. And church, the same Jesus who saw the harvest still sees the harvest today. That's why I don't believe this is just another Bible story. I believe the same Jesus that crossed that lake and said, let's go to the other side, is walking through this room tonight. Because Jesus sees the other side. As I prayed for tonight, I just sense tonight would be a marking night. And I say, God, what what do you want me to preach on? What is the word for tonight? I wasn't planned, as I mentioned, to preach tonight. And as I prayed this afternoon in Elam Lodge, and I took some time to hear God's voice for tonight. As I've been sharing in the mornings, I just feel tonight there is a moment to respond to what he's been doing all week, but to respond to what Jesus is prompting tonight to go to the other side. That he's called us to see the other side. I don't want to just end another service tonight. I believe Jesus is asking us to respond tonight. Throughout the story, every disciple was in the boat. Every disciple crossed the storm. Every disciple watched Jesus speak peace over the storm, over the wind and the waves, and every disciple stepped onto that shore. Every disciple saw one broken man come free. Every disciple discovered that Jesus had been seeing that man all along. And that was the purpose they went there. And every disciple got to experience that move of God later on in the chapters. Tonight every one of us has heard his word tonight. And I believe every one of us has an opportunity to respond tonight. I'm not asking for those who are just hurting tonight. I'm not just asking for those who need a miracle tonight. I'm not just asking for those who need encouragement tonight. I'm inviting tonight every person in this room. Because every one of us needs more of Jesus. Every one of us needs to look more like Jesus. That's spiritual maturity. And I don't know about you, but I need more of Jesus in me. I need to look a lot like more like Jesus than I do. Because there's times I don't see the other side. I get stuck in my own self. I get stuck in my own life. I get stuck in my own needs and wants and busyness of life. I get on my phone. Sometimes I miss the opportunities. I miss what Jesus is doing in the room because I'm distracted. I'm busy. Every one of us needs fresh faith. Every one of us needs a fresh courage and a fresh surrender. And I believe every one of us needs the power of the Holy Spirit moving afresh in our hearts and lives. Church, we don't need just another sermon or another service or better ideas. We need the power of God. Because can I tell you, it's the power of God that sets a life free. It's the power of God that saves us. It's the power of God that sets fear, breaks fear off us. It's the power of God that breaks anxiety and depression and doubt and sickness. It's the power of God that moves in a church and grows a church. It's the power of God that sets us on a path and calls us to dreams and purposes. It's the power of God that rebirths old dreams and gives us innovation and gives that pioneer spirit to do stuff we've never done before, to move the kingdom to another place we've never gone before. It's the power of God that calls us. And it's that same power that's in this room tonight. It's the power that revives a church, reaches cities, reaches nations. And tonight, I believe he's here tonight to declare that your storm does not have the final word. Jesus has the final word. And Jesus sees the other side. And so there's people that are in storms tonight. There's people, but I but it's all of us. Because we all go through storms at times. But I just believe we need to go, Jesus, we need to see you. We need more of you, and we need your power tonight. So I'm gonna ask something simple tonight. If you're physically able tonight, I'm gonna ask every person in this room and give me grace if this is something you've never done before. But I'm new here. So just chalk it up as me being new here. I want to ask if you're physically possible tonight that every person in this room would get out of their seat in some way. There's room at this altar, there's room in the aisles. I I don't care what it looks like, but there's something about coming around an altar. We can pack in here. We're not gonna be long, we're just gonna seek God as one camp together tonight. And I don't have a big agenda for this, but I just remember growing up at Central Pentecostal Tabernacle. My pastor, Pastor Bob Jones, said, Tonight we're gonna seek revival. I like, what is revival? And I remember we got around the altar, it's 14 years old. I'm looking across the altar, Pastor Phil. I'm like, what are we doing? But can I tell you there was something that was birthed in that moment of just the whole church being at the altar, going, Wow, we're in this together and we want God together. And there's unity that happens. It's young, it's old, it's people that don't normally come to altars. Everybody at the altar saying, We need you. It all started at this altar. You know, most of us have come to an altar at some point. Generally, it was to accept Jesus, or we put a hand up, or we had some moment at this altar. And maybe for you, this altar means a lot tonight. And I'm asking you to come back to the altar tonight. Maybe it was your starting point in faith. Maybe it was where you rededicated your life tonight. But in this moment, as we all come together at the altar, we're just gonna pray. Aaron's gonna lead us, and then we'll pray a little more and we'll dismiss. But I just sense tonight that he wants to encounter us afresh. Is that okay? So can we stand to our feet? I'm gonna ask Aaron to lead us. And I'm just gonna ask you come find a spot. Get in the aisle, move out of what your normal spot is to go, Jesus, I'm stepping into all that you would have for my life. Just come.
